Business Day writes as the world turns towards procuring more green and sustainable power for its energy needs, South Africa may be left behind if the country doesn’t put more effort into reaching ambitious emissions targets. The Climate Change Commission will hand over its recommendations to President Cyril Ramaphosa this month. The recommendations will outline how to reach the “nationally determined contributions” as outlined in the Paris Climate Agreement.

And Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan has added to the litany of pieces written about the late Jabu Mabuza, Gordan has penned his tribute for the Sunday Times Daily. He remembers Mabuza as a “gentle soul” and described his rise from humble origins as a taxi driver to being one of the most well-known and effective business executives in the country.
