BEIJING (Reuters) – Freight trains connecting China with North Korea have resumed for the first time since the border lockdown between the two countries in 2020 brought about by COVID-19, the Chinese foreign ministry said on Monday.
The confirmation by Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian followed weekend media reports citing brokers saying they were expecting the resumption of regular trade with North Korea as soon as Monday.
