(Reuters) – Vestas will halt its four wind farm projects under development in Russia as consequence of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Danish newspaper Ekstra-Bladet reported on Monday, citing a company spokesperson.
Vestas has since September been developing the four projects – Novoalekseevskaya, Grazhdanskaya, Ivanovskaya and Pokrovskaya – with a total capacity of 253 megawatt ordered by a consortium between Finland’s Fortum and Russia’s Gazprombank.
Vestas did not immediately reply to a request for comment.
