DUBAI (Reuters) – Egypt’s president Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has asked the government to set a price for unsubsidized bread following recent bread price increases, the Egyptian presidency said Monday.
Sisi also asked the government to speed up a decision on increasing the procurement price for local wheat and told the supply minister to raise strategic reserves of staple commodities to no less than six months’ worth.
