(Bloomberg) — KKR & Co. has named Workday Inc. Co-Chief Executive Officer Chano Fernandez as a senior adviser to its global technology team, bolstering the private-equity firm’s expertise in software.
Fernandez will advise KKR on global investment activities, with a focus on enterprise application software in Europe and North America, according to a statement on Wednesday. He will also provide guidance to the firm’s portfolio companies on operations and growth strategies.
Prior to joining Workday, Fernandez had also worked at firms including SAP SE and McKinsey & Company Inc. His appointment comes as KKR pushes further into tech investments. The company also hired Ajay Kavan, the former CEO of Matches Fashion, as a senior adviser in 2021 in Europe to focus on consumer tech.
