TOKYO (Reuters) – Japanese trading company Marubeni Corp will freeze all new transactions in Russia, including those not subject to sanctions, it said on Thursday.
The company will seek to terminate existing deals as much as possible, it said in a release.
Marubeni’s trade with Russia includes tyres and chemicals, but it could not comment on the Sakhalin-1 oil project because it is a single shareholder, a company spokesperson added.
