STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex rose 469.3 points, or 0.8%, to 59,272.63, while the broader NSE index gained 130.5 points, or 0.74%, to 17,669.95 as metal stocks rallied. Aluminium producer Hindalco Industries and JSW Steel were the top gainers on the Nifty 50 index. [.BO]
RUPEE:
The rupee weakened 0.1% to 78.8825 against a surging dollar, with traders pointing to likely intervention by the Reserve Bank of India to keep the local currency in check.[INR/]
GOVERNMENT BONDS:
The Indian benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 95.43 rupees, with yield falling 1 bps to 7.2182%, tracking a similar move in U.S. Treasury yields, while bets of inclusion of local debt in global indexes lifted sentiment. [IN/]

OVERNIGHT INDEXED SWAPS:
The one-year overnight indexed swap rate was down 5 bps at 6.29%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate fell 4 bps to 6.44%.
CALL MONEY/REPOS:
India’s overnight call money rate was up 45 bps at 5.15% against 4.70% in the previous session. The overnight TREPS rate was at 5.10%, compared with the previous day’s weighted average of 5.1621%.
