Stage 6 load shedding confirmed ‘until further notice’ – EWN

Eskom stated in a statement that stage 6 load shedding was implemented from 4 p.m. on Wednesday and will continue till further notice. According to the company, this is due to severe capacity restrictions which demand the ongoing use of emergency generation reserves. On Tuesday, Eskom stated that seven units tripped, and while three returned to operation immediately, the restoration of the remaining three units was delayed. On Tuesday night, Unit 1 of the Matla power station was also shut down to fix a boiler tube leak. Read more here

Lasizwe Dambuza has ended his journey as a YouTube video creator. In the video he released, Lasizwe explained that he was forced to take a sabbatical to focus on his mental health due to a difficult time. Lasizwe is one of the most popular YouTube content creators in South Africa. 

“I think we all saw it coming. Last year I hit the brick wall. I became so depressed I landed up in hospital, I had a mental breakdown and I decided to choose myself. Not knowing how I’m going to sustain myself, not knowing how I’m going to live it was tough.” Read more here
