(Bloomberg) — A Goldman Sachs trader is headed to the Philadelphia Eagles, though not in time for the Super Bowl.
Adam Berry, head of US loan trading at the Wall Street firm, is leaving his post to take up an executive position with the Eagles, according to people with knowledge of the matter. He’ll join in May, one of the people said.
The move comes at a triumphant moment for the National Football League franchise. The Eagles beat the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC championship game on Sunday, clinching a spot in the Feb. 12 Super Bowl against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Berry had been with New York-based Goldman Sachs Group Inc. since 2009, joining the firm after graduating from Princeton University, where he played for the school’s football team. His twin brother, Andrew Berry, is the general manager of the Cleveland Browns.
Representatives for the Eagles and Berry didn’t respond to requests for comment.
