Public concern builds as Lindiwe Sisulu confirms Spurs deal is on the table – but denies championing it

Fed hikes rates by 25 basis points – more to come
(Daily Investor) — The US Federal Reserve hiked interest rates by 25 basis points overnight in a slowing of its aggressive rate hiking, but the central bank has promised there will be more increases to come this year.

(Business Day) — The JSE closed firmer as investors waited for the Fed’s decision, which only came out after the local bourse closed.
The All-Share Index gained 0.43% to 79,816.87 points while the rand was also firmer at R17.1622/$ after strengthening in line with emerging market currencies. At 05:57, the local unit was trading at R17.0309 against the greenback.
