(Reuters) – The U.S. auto safety regulator said on Monday it was opening a preliminary evaluation into an estimated 500 Zoox vehicles, Amazon’s self-driving car unit, over reports of vehicles equipped with Automated Driving System unexpectedly braking, leading to rear-end collisions.
