(Reuters) – Britain’s Marston’s posted a rise in like-for-like sales for the 16 week-period on Wednesday, helped by footfall from fans that gathered at its pubs to watch the European soccer championship.
The predominately suburban pub operator said like-for-like sales for the 16 weeks ended on July 20 was up 2.4%, adding that like-for-like sales for the week of the Euro semi-finals and final matches rose by 8%.
