NEW DELHI (Reuters) – India collected 1.82 trillion rupees ($21.74 billion) in goods and services tax (GST) in July, a rise of 10.3% from the same period last year, the government said in a statement on Thursday.
The government had collected 1.65 trillion rupees as GST in the same month last year. After refunds, the government’s net GST mop-up in July rose 14.4% year-on-year to 1.66 trillion rupees, the statement said.
