Mauritius central bank: Mauritius, China sign currency swap agreement

NAIROBI (Reuters) – Mauritius and China’s central banks have signed a three-year currency swap agreement worth 13 billion Mauritian rupees or 2 billion Chinese yuan (about $281 million), the Bank of Mauritius said on Wednesday.

The bank said in a statement that the agreement could be extended on mutual consent and was designed to promote bilateral trade and investment between the two countries.
