Intesa Sanpaolo has struck deal for 4,000 voluntary layoffs, FABI union says

MILAN (Reuters) – Intesa Sanpaolo, Italy’s largest bank, has signed a deal with unions to fund an early retirement scheme for 4,000 employees, the FABI banking sector union said on Wednesday.

The deal also foresees 2,000 new hires, FABI added.
