(Reuters) – Italy posted a budget deficit of 17 billion euros ($18.51 billion) in October, up from a deficit of 4.54 billion euros in the same month of 2023, the Treasury said on Monday.
The difference was mainly the result of differences in the timing of accreditation of European Union post-COVID recovery funds, the ministry said.
