(Reuters) -Singapore’s United Overseas Bank, or UOB, on Friday said Leong Yung Chee will take over as its group chief financial officer (CFO) from April 2025, succeeding Lee Wai Fai.
Leong will work alongside Lee as CFO-designate with immediate effect before officially assuming the CFO role on April 22, 2025, Southeast Asia’s third-largest bank by assets said in a statement.
Lee, who has been with UOB since 1989 and was appointed as group CFO in 2005, will continue to oversee UOBs Corporate Real Estate and Services function as well as UOB Asset Management after he steps down.
“Leong will steer UOB’s financial strategy, aligning it with the Bank’s ongoing business transformation and innovation,” the bank said.
