China’s Nanjing city extends car purchase subsidies into 2025

BEIJING (Reuters) – Nanjing, the capital city of eastern China’s Jiangsu province, will continue to provide car purchase subsidies of up to 4,000 yuan ($548) apiece from Jan. 1, the local government announced on Monday.

Purchases of new cars with a sticker price of between 100,000 yuan and 200,000 yuan, not including taxes, will be entitled to a 3,000 yuan subsidy. Those buying a car worth in excess of 200,000 yuan excluding taxes will be handed a 4,000 yuan subsidy. ($1 = 7.2990 Chinese yuan renminbi)
