(Reuters) – U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio will travel to Panama, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Guatemala, and the Dominican Republic from Feb. 1-6, the State Department said in a statement on Friday.
His trip will promote regional cooperation on core shared interests such as stopping illegal and large-scale migration, fighting transnational criminal organizations and drug traffickers as well as countering China, it said.
