Ugandan shilling slips on interbank demand for dollars

KAMPALA (Reuters) -The Ugandan shilling weakened on Friday, pressured by a resurgence in demand for hard currency from interbank players seeking to bolster their positions, traders said.

At 0838 GMT, commercial banks quoted the shilling at 3,600/3,610, compared to Thursday’s close of 3,585/3,595.
