US government funding bill falling short of votes to pass in Senate, voting continues

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – A Democratic bill to keep the U.S. government funded past Tuesday was falling short of the votes needed for passage in the Senate, raising the risk of a shutdown beginning in just hours.

Voting continued.
