CBS Drops Actor Chris Noth After Sexual Assault Allegations

(Bloomberg) — ViacomCBS Inc. dropped veteran actor Chris Noth from the television drama “The Equalizer” following allegations of sexual assault.

Noth will be seen in one upcoming episode that has already been filmed, as well as repeats that already aired, the company’s CBS division said Monday. The “Sex and the City” actor is also appearing in a revival of that series, which premiered on HBO Max this month.

The Hollywood Reporter wrote last week that two women claimed Noth assaulted them. In a statement to the publication, he said the allegations were “categorically false.”

The Los Angeles Times reported Monday that a third woman accused Noth of assault. It also said he was dropped by his talent agency.
