Over the last year investments in emerging markets have outperformed their counterparts in developed countries, making for an attractive investment opportunity, reports Wall Street Journal.
Economic growth is expected to do well in emerging markets in the near future while investing in stocks is a good opportunity for US investors to diversify their stock portfolio.
The downside is the uncertainty around the performance of those stocks and investments in emerging markets as they are highly volatile while a safer bet would be to look into US companies that are investing in developing markets and buy shares on local US stock exchanges instead.
