STOCKHOLM (Reuters) -Norway’s Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace said on Thursday it had won a 500 million euro ($580 million) order from Denmark for its National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System (NASAMS).
“With this procurement Denmark will significantly enhance the country’s operational capabilities and the ability to effectively combat modern air threats,” Kongsberg said.
It did not give a time frame for delivery.
Denmark in September said it plans to buy European-made air defence systems for some $9 billion, including from Norway, citing a challenging security situation.
