NEW DELHI, Dec 8 (Reuters) – IndiGo told India’s aviation regulator on Monday that a combination of factors, including new pilot rest and duty rules and “minor” technical glitches, had led to the cancellation of at least 2,000 flights last week.
The airline said it was “realistically not possible” to pinpoint the exact causes at the moment due to the complexity and scale of its operations, India’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said in a statement.
The airline sought more time to submit a detailed root-cause analysis, citing the regulator’s rules.
