(Bloomberg) — Iran’s state broadcaster said several television channels and one of its biggest radio stations were briefly hacked in an “elaborate attack” by an exiled opposition group earlier on Thursday, according to a statement posted on the network’s telegram channel.
Earlier, the semi-official Fars news agency published a screenshot of the alleged hack from the state-run Telewebion streaming website showing the images of Maryam and Massoud Rajavi, the leaders of the People’s Mujahedin of Iran, a group that’s been outlawed in Iran for decades because it calls for the overthrow of the Islamic Republic.
