JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) – South Africa’s retail sales rose 3.4% year on year in April after rising by a revised 1.7% in March, Statistics South Africa figures showed on Wednesday.
On a month-on-month basis, sales fell 0.2%.
Sales were up 1.4% in the three months to the end of April compared with the same period last year, the statistics agency said.
