Morocco’s annual CPI up 5.9% in May

RABAT (Reuters) – Morocco’s consumer price index rose by 5.9% year-on-year in May, the high commission for planning said on Wednesday.

Food prices rose by 8.4%, while non-food inflation increased by 4.1%. On a month-on-month basis, the index rose by 0.3%.

Core CPI, which excludes prices of volatile goods, increased 5.6% year-on-year and was up 1.2% month-on-month.
