HANOI (Reuters) – Vietnam registered a trade surplus of $740 million in the first half of this year, government customs data released on Thursday showed.
Exports in the January-June period rose 17.3% from a year earlier to $186.03 billion, while imports were up 15.5% at $185.29 billion, the Customs Department said in a report.
In June, the country’s exports rose 6.2% from May to $32.84 billion, while imports fell 1.2% to $32.23 billion, the department said.
