(Bloomberg) — General Motors Co. said it would extend downtime at its Chevy Bolt electric-vehicle plant in Lake Orion, Michigan, by two weeks as it continues investigating the source of battery fires in the vehicle.
- Bolt plant has been idled since Aug. 23; extension will include the weeks of Sept. 13 and Sept. 20
- We “continue to work with our supplier to update manufacturing processes,” GM says in emailed statement
