Hungary plans to sell ‘non-strategic assets’ to buy Budapest Airport

BUDAPEST (Reuters) – Hungary plans to finance its acquisition of Budapest Airport in a package construction that would include selling non-strategic assets, Economic Development Minister Marton Nagy told reporters on the sidelines of a business conference on Monday.

The package could include budget funds, development bank money and proceeds from the sale of non-strategic assets, he said, adding that the government expects talks to conclude by the end of the year.
