(Reuters) – Britain’s competition watchdog said on Wednesday it has ended its investigation into Unilever’s environmental claims about certain household essential items, saying the consumer goods giant has made positive changes to its claims.
The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) had opened the probe in December 2023 amid a wider crackdown on greenwashing, after an initial review uncovered concerns that the maker of Dove soap “may be overstating how green certain products are.”
