Brazilian lawmakers stand against stricter rules for social benefit BPC, says local media

SAO PAULO (Reuters) – Brazil’s Congress reached an agreement to reject stricter rules for the so-called BPC, a social benefit for the elderly and disabled, newspaper Valor Economico reported on Wednesday.

The adjustments in BPC were part of the fiscal package that is being voted this week by the Congress.
