(Reuters) – Senior Justice Department officials and federal prosecutors in Manhattan have held talks about dropping the corruption case against New York Mayor Eric Adams, the New York Times reported on Wednesday, citing people with knowledge of the matter.
Adams is set for a criminal trial in April on federal charges of corruption, which comes alongside his reelection campaign for a second term as mayor. Adams says he has not broken the law and did nothing wrong.
